iBuyers are here, but at what cost?
We have been hearing bits of information about this “wonderful new process” that will take the time, hassle, and frustration out of selling your home. It is called iBuyer. I want to give you a brief introduction to this concept and plan to go into detail in a future newsletter.
iBuyer is a category where, according to Market Watch, iBuyers purchase homes on average 11% less than owners who choose to sell their homes on the current market. Additional fees and other costs translate to tens of thousands of dollars lost. Zillow fixes up and “flips” homes back on the market priced with active comparables in the area making a quick profit. There is a specific market niche where an iBuyer works; but, it is not for everyone.
Compass has a new service that is for everyone; Compass Concierge.
