Sunnyside Yards

Just last week the city of New York and Amtrak announced that they have hired a firm to plan out a master development site that could change the face of Queens.  Sunnyside Yards is slated for redevelopment and is primed to model Hudson Yards as a megadevelopment.  Erecting buildings on stilts over the existing railways could spur development as Long Island City runs out of space.  The success of developments in Downtown Brooklyn and Long Island City show that there is a demand for high-density development outside of Manhattan.  Though many years off, this project could be a big change for the borough of Queens.
