Take Me Out to the Brewery

Beer Nerds throughout the five boroughs are excited about a new addition at Citi Field that has (almost) nothing to do with baseball.  Danish Cult favorite beer brewer Mikkeller has opened a brewery, the brand's first on the east coast, directly behind the right field.  The new addition to Citi Field comes right in time for the new season- starting Thursday 3/29. 

"Over the last 12 years, founder Mikkel Borg Bjergso has established his Danish brand as a trendsetter... and, arguably, one of the world’s best brewers. Bjergso has made his name by taking aspects of modern craft beer (the big, sometimes weird flavors; limited-run creations) and pushing them to their least logical extremes." 

One of our personal favorites was the Real Estate- a summery golden ale that seems perfect for baseball.  And the next time you're at a Mets game, a tennis match at Arthur Ashe Stadium or enjoying Flushing Meadows-Corona Park stop into Mikkeller for a unique beer experience.
