New York Micro Apartments
Thought apartments in New York couldn't get any smaller? Well they can and they just did! Michael K. Chen Architecture just released their redesign of an attic in the West Village and it is honestly stunning. Through intelligent design and compact pullouts, the apartment manages to accomplish a lot in only 225 square feet. Chen stated "We maximize space and function in a minuscule apartment, designing for elements and uses that might otherwise be impossible, but in a lively and playful way.” The apartment has everything a person might want from a refurbished New York City apartment: a sleek kitchen with a cooktop; enough surfaces and spaces for eating, working, and living; and a Zen-like, subway tile-lined bathroom.
